Courses

All licensed instructors are independent contractors and therefore handle their own course registration process including fees, schedules, and locations.

Check with an individual instructor about the availability of online courses. Instructors can also assist NDIS clients.

Introductory Workshops

Introductory Workshops are short courses which may be a couple of hours up to a day long. These courses introduce participants to the Brain Gym program & teach a number of the movements. They are taught by licensed Brain Gym Instructors and are a great way to experience the benefits of the movements. Entry Level courses 

There are 8 accredited entry level courses available to all.

 Advanced Level Courses 

The advanced level courses are available for people, who wish to learn more about the Educational Kinesiology work or become a professional member. Brain Gym®101 is the prerequisite to learn advanced courses.

Faculty At Work – Julie Gunstone and Gilly Johnson

Several Faculty at Work courses (BG181, BG182 – FW2) are being offered. Prerequisite is BG101. Hours count towards relicensure for Consultants/Instructors. Please check under Accredited Courses or Faculty at Work Courses for more details.

Pilot Courses

Pilot Courses are accredited with Brain Gym® International and can be taken by professional members for re-licensure credit points. There are no Pilot Courses available at present.

105 - Double Doodle Play, A Window Into Whole-Brain Vision (DD)

Prerequisites: none

In this introductory course we will use the Double Doodle and other movements from Brain Gym® and Vision Gym® to explore and enhance visual perception and artistic expression. Participants will, through experience and discussion, gain a finer understanding of the relationship among visual skills, hand-eye coordination, and creative expression. Applications for parents, teachers and various age groups will be addressed.

This course offers an innovative technique to effectively and quickly integrate the far and near senses. Understand the important connection that movement and the senses have to learning. 301 - Edu-K In Depth: Seven Dimensions of Intelligence (EID)

Prerequisites: Brain Gym® 101. Prerequisite for Brain Gym® instructor licensure.
Time (Hrs): 40

Hands-on experience with seven dimensions of body movement, focusing on how each can support or block the learning process. Learn twelve new integrated movements. Students learn to permanently integrate the principles of whole brain learning into their own processes. Open to students who have taken Brain Gym®. Prerequisite for Brain Gym® instructor licensure.

345 - Integration of Dynamic and Postural Reflexes into the Whole Body Movement System (IDPR) P*

Prerequisites: 301 - Edu-K In Depth
Time (Hrs): 32

A four-day course exploring dynamic and postural reflexes and how they influence development and learning. Provides an explanation of reflexes according to the three dimensions of Laterality Centering and Focus. Participants learn techniques for checking reflex integration and simple joyful movements for integrating them into the whole body movement system. Open to students who have taken Edu-K In Depth.

385 - Motivation of the Three Dimensions (MTD)

Prerequisites: Brain Gym®101
Time (Hrs): 16

Motivation refers to the underlying force which either supports or sabotages our goals. The visual Metaphor balance and Motivation Integration Technique assist in transforming limiting patterns. This course looks deeper at the Three Dimensions and adds variations to the Repatterning processes learned in Brain Gym® 101. Pre-Requisite: Brain Gym® 101

401 - Brain Gym® Teacher Practicum (P)

Prerequisites: Open to students who have taken Brain Gym® 101 twice, 4 Brain Gym 101 case studies, Optimal Brain Organization, Edu-K In Depth, three In Depth case studies, 16 hours of Edu-K electives, 14 hours of courses in Anatomy or Kinesiology.

Designed for those who wish to develop and successfully teach Brain Gym® in a class or private format. Provides instruction in theory, teaching methods, and procedures, and development of an action plan for achieving professional goals.
